Upper Rhonnda Forum The Cynon Valley Forum meets monthly, except August & December.

Upper Rhonnda Forum St Mair’s Centre, Seymore Street, Aberdare CF44 7BD.

Upper Rhonnda Forum Chairman Delma Hill and Secretary Audrey Prince.

Cynon Forum has had a successful year; we have taken part in the Aberdare Rotary Raffle which raised much needed funds for our forum. Our annual lunch was held at the Aberdare Golf Club and all members enjoyed this social time.

We have with the other forums made a tapestry of the area and it made us think about our heritage in the Cynon Valley and how proud we are to be living here.

Our speakers throughout the year have given us valuable information which has now been passed onto the many other organisations that our members belong to.

Our Chair belongs to the Executive of the National OAP Association of Wales and keeps us informed of any campaigns that this organisation is involved with.

Our Secretary Audrey Prince had an award for her the work she has done campaigning for Toilets throughout Wales. Audrey has inspired many people by her sole work out and about doing surveys on the problems with toilets in the Cynon Valley.

We were also involved right from the beginning with the campaign for Foot Care, which Age Connects Morgannwg are now taking forward.

The Cynon Forum covers the whole of the Cynon Valley area, from Hirwaun & Aberdare, down through Mountain Ash, Penrhiwceiber & Perthcelyn to Abercynon and all places in between.
